There are numerous badges on offer within Scouts South Africa. While you can attend Regional Badge Courses that are on offer you are able to choose from any number of others that are available to you.

Scoutcraft versus Interest
Scoutcraft Badges are introductory in nature and tend to be aimed at younger scouts who are still learning the skills in question.
Interest Badges on the other hand are aimed at scouts who are a little older and are reasonably well versed in the skills needed to meet the requirements.
It is important to note that many Interest Badges require the scout to have completed the Scoutcraft Badge BEFORE they are able to do the Interest Badge.
Especially when it comes to booking courses you must ensure that you meet these requirements else you will be declined from the course.
Finding Courses
As you will see in other articles you are able to view the available badge courses by going to Scouts.Digital or the Western Cape Calendar.

To view available courses in Scouts.Digital you must login to your profile and scroll down to Training and then Book Training – more detailed article HERE.
Western Cape Calendar
The calendar below will only show the Scout Programme Events (Badges and Competitions).
